Christine A. Jenks
Christine Jenks is a certified Power Pilates Instructor, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Published Author, and a lover of the word FABULOUS! She is passionate about helping others feel better from the inside out through physical activity, clean eating, and mindset.
Christine earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from The Boston Conservatory of Music, Musical Theatre and Dance. She danced professionally for over fifteen years in Boston, New York, and Las Vegas. While in Boston, she performed with "The Impulse Dance Company" under the direction of Adrienne Hawkins. Her role as "Barbie" for "Barbie's 40th Anniversary Celebration" with celebrities Dick Clark and Rosie O'Donnell, became her highlight while in NYC. During her time in both these cities, she had the honor of being a talent judge for "Star Systems National Talent Competition” for seven seasons. Then her dream come true; she sailed around the world performing on Holland America Cruise Lines with Anita Mann Productions. The grande finale of her performance career was being Las Vegas Showgirl adorned in jewels.
Along with teaching pilates at Providence Pilates Center in Providence, RI, Christine teaches spin, barre, and TRX. She is a graduate of The Institute of Integrative Nutrition based out of New York City. During the past year, she collaborated with twenty of her classmates, and together they became published co-authors of "Our Transformative Journey; A Healing Gift to the World." Christine is also in the process of developing her own company "Althea Wellness Coaching" (Althea meaning "to heal") to support others with creating an integrative lifestyle. Christine is thrilled to be a part of Move: The Initiative summer workshop and to meet all of the talented dancers.
